cool DX on the air this weekend!

Rare, semi-rare and fun DX on-the-air now! "This Weekend's DX!" - updated every Friday at 0200 UTC (10PM Eastern Thursdays)  Work the DX better-faster-funner!

News Update - This Weekend's DX! - Friday May 15, 2015 01:00 UTC

Strange tales from Dog-Xray! This week offers an eclectic mix of interesting DX to chase. One op is EME only, others are CW, QRP or digital only, one will not issue any paper QSL's at all and most of this weekend's DX isn't even active until next week - but they will be QRV before next weekend's update...

SV2 / Mt. Athos Updates:

Update May 19, 2015 Update May 19, 2015 Tuesday May 19, 2015 - SV2 / Mt. Athos cancelled! This was posted on DX-World.net earlier today:

Monk Apollo is outside Mount Athos, working with the olives, but he offered himself to ask Holy Council and inform us about the operation. The official news is that Holy Council prohibited the entrance of the YL guys in Mount Athos because they announced a Ham Radio operation without a license from Holy Council. The YL guys have a visa to enter Mount Athos this morning as pilgrims but NOT a license to operate. After this they can not enter in Mount Athos either as pilgrims."

Update 0403 UTC May 15, 2015 MT. Athos multi-op activation next week? BREAKING - Yuris, YL2GM,  has posted on DXCoffee that Raratonga / South Cook IslandsYL2GM / YL3CW / YL2KA / YL2GD will activate Mt. Athos May 19-28 as SV2/YL7A! Thank you to Bob, K6UJ for the "heads up" on this one. The DXCoffee link is here ...

The E6 - Niue DXpedition is scheduled to be on the air today and should be logging QSO's soon. They are featured in a separate CallingDX web page here.
